About David
David Underhill is a Canadian actor and physical theatre artists, based in London, UK as of January 2025. He started acting from a young age in Victoria, BC, Canada, and moved to Vancouver, BC in 2016 to pursue acting as a profession. He trained at the acclaimed conservatory program Studio 58, from where he graduated in 2019 with distinction. During his schooling, David discovered an additional passion for physical theatre, particularly mime and clown work, and continues to incorporate these theatrical techniques into all aspects of his work. In addition to his onstage (The Cultch, ZeeZee Theatre, Peninsula Productions, United Players) and onscreen (Resident Alien, The Secret Lives of College Freshmen) experience, David has expanded into multi-disciplinary artistic fields, including directing and street performance. After working professionally in Vancouver for 4 years, David left Canada and moved to London, UK in 2025 to pursue new performance opportunities with his long-time partner Brodie. His artistic values include a commitment to honest, fully-embodied expression, high attention to detail, and finding joy in the absurd.
